About
Hello! My practice focusses on matters of parenting and perinatal health such as fertility, conception, loss, pregnancy, identity transitions, and raising humans.
With some years of experience working in this space, I understand that the struggles related to parenting are vast. There is no wrong reason to reach out for support.
At the heart of my practice is the belief that parenting is a deeply human journey, raw, beautiful, and messy. From conception through the early years of raising a child, this path can stir up joy, doubt, exhaustion, and love in equal measure. Our culture is one that often romanticises parenthood, leaving parent’s feeling isolated or inadequate when they meet the challenging reality. I aim to offer a space where your whole experience is welcome. Where your challenges are met with compassion. My work supports you to feel seen, heard, and empowered, so you can navigate the reality of parenting, conception and loss with greater confidence and connection.
My practice is, first and foremost human centred meaning I place emphasis on connection. I believe that only when we feel safe and seen in therapy can change take place. On a more technical level, I practice in Schema Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), with elements of Internal Family System (IFS) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). I am also a registered Circle of Security (CoS) facilitaor.
While immediate, daily struggles are often what bring people to therapy, my goal is to support you both in the present and beyond. Together, we will develop practical tools to help you cope right now. For those who feel ready, I also encourage gently exploring deeper patterns of behavior and past experiences. It is within this deeper exploration that I believe we find long-term growth, and lasting change.
If you'd like to find out whether I'd be the right fit for you, feel free to reach out via my website or email.
